كشفت نبيلة مكرم وزيرة الدولة للهجرة وشؤون المصريين بالخارج، كواليس الصورة الشهيرة التى تبكى فيها محتضنة إحدى الفتيات العاملات فى مطعم شهير، موضحة أنها كانت قد التقت بها لأول مرة فى روما قبل 15 عاما.

أوضحت الوزيرة، خلال حوارها مع الإعلامية منى الشاذلى فى برنامج "معكم منى الشاذلى"، على قناة CBC، أنها عندما تم تعيينها كـ قنصل مصرى فى السفارة المصرية فى روما خلال عام 2007، وردتها استغاثة من جد مصرى يعيش فى مصر، يطلب العثور على حفيدته، قائلة: "بنته كانت موجودة فى روما وماتت ففضلت الحفيدة لوحدها وهو مش عارف لها طريق وعاوزها ترجع".

أضافت الوزيرة أنها بدأت رحلة البحث عن الفتاة ووجدتها بالفعل فى إحدى دور الرعاية، قائلة: "البنت اتسابت وهى عندها 5 سنين لما والدتها توفت، وكبرت، لما لقتها أنا كان بقى عندها 9 سنين ومكنتش بتتكلم عربى"، لافتة إلى أن الدار رفضت عودة الفتاة لجدها إلا من خلال رفع قضية، ففعلت ذلك، بل وترافعت فى القضية بنفسها، وكانت تترجم الأوراق المطلوبة للقضية من العربية للإيطالية والعكس.

استطردت الوزيرة أنها كسبت القضية، وحصلت على وصاية الفتاة لحين إيصالها لجدها، موضحة أن الطفلة لم تكن ترغب فى العودة لأنها لا تعرف جدها ولا تتحدث العربية، لكن لا بد من عودتها، قائلة: "البنت هايبة الجد ومتعرفوش ومش عايزة تنزل، فأنا طلبت من السفير إنه قبل البنت ما تنزل مصر إننا نعمل حفلة فى السفارة وأجيب ولادى وولاد الزملا ونخليهم يلعبوا سوا معاها ونطمنها ونوريها إنه يعنى أنتى هتنبسطى فى مصر".

تابعت الوزيرة أنها تواصلت مع الحكومة الإيطالية أيضا لكى يتكفلوا بمصاريف التحاقها بمدرسة إيطالية فى مصر، وبالفعل تمت الموافقة، مضيفة: "لما جيت أوصلها للمطار ودخلتها الطيارة كانت خايفة وصعبت عليا بس لازم أمشى، فادتها ضهرى ومشيت ومشوفتهاش من وقتها".

أشارت نبيلة مكرم، إلى أنها قبل عدة أشهر، وأثناء تناول العشاء مع الدكتورة مايا مرسى رئيسة المجلس القومى للمرأة، فى أحد المطاعم، فوجئت بمدير المطعم يخبرها أن إحدى الموظفات تريد الترحيب بها، فظنت أنها تريد التقاط صورة، فوافقت، مضيفة: "لقيت بنت جات ورفعت الماسك بس أنا معرفتهاش قالت لى أنا فلانة أول ما قالت ده مدريتش بنفسى وحضنتها وبكيت لأن مصدقتش نفسى إن شوفتها بعد 15 سنة".

فى نفس السياق، أوضحت الوزيرة أنها سألت الفتاة عن حياتها الآن، فأخبرتها أن جدها توفى، وتعيش مع الأخصائية الاجتماعية التى خصصتها لها السفارة الإيطالية بناء على طلب نبيلة مكرم عند عودتها لمصر فى طفولتها، لكن هذه الإخصائية ستهاجر قريبا، ولن يكون هناك مكان لها لتقيم فيه.

اختتمت الوزيرة حديثها قائلة: "كأن ربنا حطنى فى الوقت ده عشان البنت دى، قلت لها أنا داخلة بالكمامة وشكلى أكيد اتغير عرفتينى ازاى قالت لى من ضهرك، قالت لى دى اخر حاجة شفتها فى الطيارة بعد ما حطتينى ومشيتى.. أنا أخدت تليفونها واتكلمنا وهى دلوقت بتشتغل فى شركة وبتكلمنى يوم ويوم.. هى بنتى خلاص".
